Today is September 30th, 2009 and home values in the Greater Sacramento Area are at all time lows.  If you have been thinking about moving up in value to a larger house then now is the time to do that.  3,000 sq ft homes are priced in the upper $200K range and over 2,500 sq ft homes are prices right around $250K, give or take...  If you don't need to sell your current home right away then it would be better to rent your home and purchase your new dream home.   If you rent your current home, you will have 3 years or less to sell it and still claim it as your primary residence.  I suggest that you check with your accountant to make sure the laws and regulations are still in place and that you qualify for this benefit.

If you like your neighborhood and your neighbors and you really don't want to move then why not remodel.  There is a special loan program that has many advantages for home owners that just want to make their home more comfortable.  If you have equity in your current home and you just want to upgrade then call for an appointment today.
